Plain-language answer to: what happens to what I put in?
We keep your email address so we can send you the weekly Reprieve newsletter. We keep anonymous counts of what people click on so we can improve Dara. We do not store what you type or what Dara says back to you.
Your typed situation is sent to generate a response, then it’s gone. We don’t keep a copy and nobody reviews it.
When you look up local resources, we check public information using the zip code you give us. Nothing else about you is sent along with that.
Your email, if you give one, goes to our newsletter platform as a subscriber. You can unsubscribe with one click from any email.
Anonymous usage counts are stored securely: event type, a random session ID, a random visitor ID, timestamp, and small details like which stage was picked. No message content, no personal information.
We do not set advertising cookies. We do not use third-party trackers. The only browser storage we use holds your subscribed status, a random visitor ID, and briefly, a session ID for the current tab.
You can clear all of this at any time from your browser’s privacy settings.
You can unsubscribe from The Reprieve at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing hello@tahnco.com.
You can ask for your email to be permanently removed by emailing hello@tahnco.com. Since we don’t store any other personal data, there’s nothing else to delete.
If you want to reset your anonymous visitor ID, clear browser storage for dara.tahnco.com and Dara will treat you as a new visitor next time.
Dara is for adult caregivers. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Email me: hello@tahnco.com. Real human, usually responds within a day.
